I want to update some of my gear this year. As in buy some. I've been a spartan climber for sometime now. Anyways I know of hundreds of places to buy overpriced american goods, but I am looking for locally made Korean or Asian goods. If you know of any places in Pusan that would be great. Or if you have items on your rack that you are trying to sell off, please let me know.

What specifically are you looking for? Cams? Stoppers? Quickdraws? Rope? Harness? Shoes? All of the above?

What I am really after is some rope without to many falls and most important some quickdraws. But if there are any good cams for sale I would be interested in those as well.

I can't say I'm ready to part with any of my gear just yet. I have a lot of stuff, Hexes, nuts, Cams, 60m dry rope 9.8. But I like my gear. I might be willing to part with some before I head home in Dec. If your still looking let me know. Used gear is not a real common commodity. Peace

Hey buds....
I myself wouldn't buy used gear in korea if it was the last option on earth. gear here is mistreated and misued at best. as far as prices go...i've bought all of my gear here, minus a pair of shoes maybe, and i haven't ever walked away feeling like i got screwed on anything. most of us are comparing our prices to MEC or REI, and of course there are a few things that are going to be more expensive here. Maybe try to stick with the Trango stuff, or maybe Kong. There are piles of shops,... the problem is that for the most part their totally unorganized. don't be afraid to haggle the price a bit. as for a rope....buy it new. who knows what kind of action it's seen if it's used.
good luck hunting,.
