jenn and i made a quick trip to ganhyun today and were blessed by amazing weather and the standard amount of korean traffic for a saturday.

i was pleased to notice that all the bolts and chains on almost every route have been replaced with shiny new ones. well done, whoever's responsible.

sure would be nice to see a national re-anchor campaign! it seems like a rusty, frayed, death triangle is the status quo.
does anyone know the korean response to the chains (besides aesthetics)? is this quest continuing beyond the two mentioned crags? i'll contribute if so.

Brought three heavy sets of chain anchors with me (though I bet they are cheaper here!!). . . where do ya think they're most needed? I was thinking of places where there is nothing but the bolts?
