In Chungbuk at Sang Ni mountain I plan to do some exploring for bouldering. There are tons of rocks. I went last weekend but I planto do more exploring. Starting early in the morning.
There are buses from Seoul along with Cheongju and other locations to Sang Ni.
It is an amazing place and I have a few photos on my blog at

By the way, I have a crashpad so hurting yourself probably won't happen unless you sometimes trip when walking.
:)
there are some really cool looking boulders about 2/3 the way up to the top. you come to a clearing and that is a big, low angle rock slab with some boulders/outcrops on top of the slab. i considered bouldering here a long time ago but no shoes and no crashpad kept me from doing so.
there's also some cool stuff scattered in the creek that leads up the montain.
you might also be able to do some climbing here: http://www.koreaontherocks.com/climbing/areas.php?area_id=30
let us know how it goes. :)

i uploaded a pic of the map
do you have a larger version of the photo you took of the map? if you do, upload it again and i will delete the old one. i can barely see the trail and landmarks on the map you uploaded, threfore i can't give you better beta about where to go.

okay will do. i thoguth there was a size limit. the file of the original photo is 530k
theres a low limit in the forums but the limit in the gallery approaches 2Mb.
Ok i think i figured out where i was referring to. at least im about 90% sure :o
If you hop on the red trail you basically take the second left. that leads you up the valley, past a san jang on the right and up to, what looks like, kyeong Eup Dae. next to that (at about 10 o'clock) there is a small temple that looks like it is named Gum Eul Tap.?.?.? Anyway, that big slab exposure i was referring to is kyeong Eup Dae. and if my memory is any good, i think i remember boulders all the way up the creek from where about the red trail starts to the san jang.
the trail splits right below the big slab. i dont remember the trail splitting like that but if it does, i believe you stay left.
i hope that helps...
