a bone I do not have...
But the way I found the climbing gym in Pyeongteak was I went to the gym in Teagu and they asked where I was from and they knew a person that used to climb at the gym in Pyeongteak and they hooked me up. So maybe go to a gym in Seol and ask around. I also think there is a gym in Wonju also there are few people that I have seen at Ganhyun every time I have gone there it is near wonju they might be able to help you out. Hope this helps

Mike, that's great advice. a lot of the gym guys/owners are connected to climbers/gyms all over the country. the owner of my gym(in daejeon) knows a lot of guys up in incheon (i think it was incheon). regardless, ask around at some gyms in nearby cities. those guys will know what is available in yeonju.
also, i found the gym in daejeon by asking at one of the local outdoor/climbing shops. he told me to meet him at his shop at closing time and then he hand delivered me to the gym. shop owners should, but not always, know something.

I certainly got absorbed into the Korean climbing scene . . . and the connections never end. . . people will start to introduce you to their climbing friends. . . just last week, heading out, my cab driver noticed my rope and started telling me about all the climbing areas near-by. I had him write the one I hadn't heard of down. If you're out of town and meeting people, it's a little harder than hanging out with the folks from your gym, especially if it's a small gym, but definitely exchange e-mails, ask about gyms in your area. . . sometimes if you write your question, Koreans can translate it easier than if you speak it. . . you can also ask a friend, coworker, student to help you write in Korean . . once you find your gym, you're in, and you will have somewhere to go every weekend. . . (and meet everyone else in Korea sooner or later:)

Yah, thanks for the tips yall.. I found a gym in Wonju.. It's a bit to go from Yeoju, but supposedly they have a bouldering and climbing wall.. So that makes me happy.

Sometimes the universities have small walls. Have you tried checking out any of the unis in Yeoju?
