I want to let everyone know about the upcoming fundraiser to help the KMPL's Kids Program. The program will help teach underprivileged (as well as privileged) kids in Korea learn more about nature, why nature is important, and how they are a part of it all.

The fundraiser will be in Ilsan, northwest of Seoul, on Saturday, July 17. There will be a raffle, a dart tournament, a photo auction and more. Entry will be 10,000 won, which count as your donation and will enter you into the raffle.

See the attached flyer, and for more details please visit our site at this link:

I hope you all can make it - though I know many of you are quite far away.

If you have any questions about the fundraiser, such as directions to the venue, please e-mail the KMPL (volunteer@kmpl.org) or ask me here.

Thanks.

I forgot to give an update after the fundraiser.

The KMPL raised 600,000 won for the KMPL Kids program. We'll be doing our first field trip on August 21st to the Natural History Museum in Seodaemun, Seoul. It's still too muggy to take kids hiking or to the camp.

We've contacted the first people who showed interest in volunteering and most are coming along. We'll still need volunteers for future trips though, so please contact the KMPL (volunteer@kmpl.org) if you're interested in helping out the kids - or volunteering with the KMPL in general.

Thanks and tread lightly.
