Water falls are not the only places to Ice climb in Korea.

I know of at least three places of up 60m of sprayed ice.
That is water pumped from the river and sprayed down a rock wall to make a great Ice climbing venue.

Their names??????

Not sure. But all of them are a short walk from the road. don't go on the weekend and you will have the place to your self (maybe).

Let's finish enjoying this gorgeous fall! Ice climbing season starts about mid-Dec. And even then, freezing is erratic (though I've heard positive things about the mined ice). . . been climbing N of Seoul where each fang sprang little springs of water. . . not very heartening, but we rushed so I could get one ice-day before Thailand. I've stumbled across several websites with Korean ice . . . be patient. . . and hit the rocks while you can!

Wow! That's a lot of ice! Wonder how many we can add from that list to KOTR this winter? :whistle:

Well i just put some site stats here (http://www.koreaontherocks.com/climbing/) and saw KOTR is definitely lacking in the ice department. :(

Total Climbing Areas: 71
* Rock Climbing Areas: 43
* Ice Climbing Areas: 3
* Gyms: 20
* Bouldering Areas: 2
* Artificial Walls: 3

Total Photos: 394
* Rock Climbing Photos: 319
* Ice Climbing Photos: 27
* Gym Photos: 32
* Bouldering Photos: 8
* Artificial Wall Photos: 8

I'd be fooling myself if i said i'd be doing a lot of ice cimbing this winter. So if you head out to any place other than the three that are already listed, don't forget a camera and a notebook. :)
