Hi all,
I will be in Korea for a few days in February and was hoping to climb a bit if I can.
Am I kidding myself?....will it be too cold?
Even some bouldering would be good but if it isn't too cold to climb routes that would be awesome.
Cheers,
Brad
it all depends. where are you going to be? if you are anywhere in the northeast, i'd say your chances are very small. obviously the further south and the closer you are to the sea the better your chances. i've climbed every month of the year in korea. i live in daejeon, about 2 hours south of seoul but about 4 from busan. i imagine busan/ulsan has year round climbing.
hope that helps

Hmmm I agree with Eric, climbing is possible in Feb, but it can be bloody chilly...have you thought about having a crack at some ice climbing? There is usually a good selection of all grades by Feb, more than is as yet on this site. You might even be able to try out a few winter mixed routes.
If it's just rock you want...head south...Busan or Ulsan should be OK.

hmmmm.......ok thanks guys. I was hoping to travel light as I'll be on my way back from a surfing trip in Panama so didn't really want to cart too much gear with me.
I will try and head south to Bulsan and Ulsan and see how I go......maybe find some bouldering down there....???
