Hi everyone,

I'm new to Bundang and new to climbing as well. Never climbed, and I've heard Korea's the perfect place to start. I was wondering if anyone had any tips about good places near me to get started. Gyms or outdoor walls? Gotta get some shoes as well.

There are a couple threads on the forum regarding Bundang, but they're a bit dated, so I hope you don't mind my creating a new one.

I live near Seohyeon Station, if that helps.

Thanks in advance...

hey you live near me, there is a bouldering gym in moran last stop on line 8 somewhere on the yellow line and take exit 6 and there is also a gear store right there. if you want help finding it give me a shout, it's 24 hours and 70,000 won a month, the owner is real friendly but doesnt speak much english. Me and another guy hit up a wall in the weeks before work sometimes at ttukseom resort and soon we're gonna probably head out to a crag in namhansanseong, its real close to where you are, again give me a shout if you wanna come climbing. a good bet is to come to the meet and great in 2 weeks time in ganhyeon you'll meet a ton of people and the climbing is really friendly for begginers and its a real nice place and super easy to get to from seoul. my number is 010-2754-1869 give me a shout if you want help buying gear or anything.

I live in Sunae, and I travel quite a bit to get to a gym over by Konkuk University. There's a direct bus that stops in Soehyeon that's drop you right next to K2 gym if you're still interested. I go twice or 3 times a week.

If you sign up for 3 months, it's about 70 a month. It's a bit far from Bundang, 30-40 min., but the place is awesome, new, and has great natural lighting. I'm stoke about it. :)
