Hey there,
The new gym is a lot bigger than the old one - it is not bad. It is located near the Suwon World Cup Stadium. I will be back in Suwon in a few days, so I can help you find it if you like.

Heidi,
That would be awesome if you could show me where it is, or if you don't get a chance tell me the best way to get there. I have tried a couple of times with no luck, so any help would be appreciated. you can email me at fjesse913@aol.com. Thanks for all your help!

Yeah, I just checked out those links, and those are to the old gym, so I can see that it was probably difficult. Do you know where Ajou University is? Or the Suwon World Cup Stadium? If you can meet me there sometime next week, I will show you. I don't have any way to scan a map and am not sure what to give as landmarks for directions.
I can meet you Wednesday or Friday mornings, or any evening from Monday to Thursday.
PM me or call at 016-9223-1369.

Hi there to anyone near Suwon who wants to check out the gym there!
Will be heading there this Friday (21st) at around 8-8:30. It is difficult to explain exactly where it is, so if you want to just meet up, that may be easier. I will try to get very clear directions this Friday and post them whenever we are able to post new locations here on the site. Otherwise, just give me a call at 016-9223-1369 and we'll arrange a time and place to meet up. I will probably go to this gym on Monday nights, but if Tuesday or Wednesday is better for you, let me know.
Cheers!
Heidi
Hi,
I used to be a climbing nut in the UK years ago and would like to try again for when I'm not teaching scuba.
I'm a 10 minute walk from Suwon Soccer Stadium but have never heard of or seen a climbing gym.
Can anyone give me directions so I can get chalky again?
Thanks ^^

Okay! I hope these directions are a little better for the gym in Suwon!
Go to Suwon World Cup Stadium, (on the (west?) side where the Big Bird cafeteria is).
Facing away from the stadium to the street, you can see a convenience store called "ampm25". Walk across the street to the convenience store and turn right. You will see a sporting goods store called "Jaywalk" to the right. Walk in this direction, (on the opposite side of the street from the stadium). Continue past the store.
There will be a low wall with murals on your left side. When you reach the end of this wall, you will turn left onto a one-way side street. Continue down this street (about 100m) and take the third right by the Family Pizza and Chicken restaurant. (There is also a parasailing club located on the second floor of the building across from this restaurant.)
The gym is about 25m down this street (on the left side). It's located in the basement of the same building as the Alpha Children's English Haekwon. (알파어린이영어학원?).
It's 8,000 won for a visit (although I am sure your first one could be free), and I am pretty sure that it's 70,000/month.
I think that these directions are pretty clear, please try them and let me know what you think, and we can hopefully put a post under "gyms" soon. It's a really great gym, the people are getting ever friendlier.
Hope this helps! It'd be great to see you out there!

It's bouldering. I don't remeber the exact schedule now, but here's the approximate one:
Monday-Friday: till 23.00 (don't know when it opens, I've been there after 19.00)
Saturday: 13.00(or 12.00 - also not sure here) -18.00
Sunday: closed
I'll check the exact schedule next time I visit it and perhaps will try to post the info into the Gyms section of the site.
