Last weekend saw a prelude to the Ganhyeon Muster, and a goodly crew of about 15 I guess. Great to meet Paul, Theresa, Anthony, Billie (with his climbing club) and all the other cool cats. Thanks to everyone who showed up and shared the sun and fun. Especially Brandon who helped get all the firewood (risking tetanus and broken toes by solo demolishing the pallets!) and offered so much support to the newer climbers.
Mira (of Jon Brown and Mira from Cheongyang fame) got in a stunning first lead on the left wall on Sunday sparking a newbie frenzy of leads! Bryce threw up a lead in great style as well, and then Kyung Ah not to be left behind snatched the rope and said "I'm gonna lead this sucker come Hell or highwater!" (or something kinda like that) and shot up off the rock to bag her first lead. Bloody great job all of you! Sweet as!
Kevin "Grimey mate!" Grimes also showed some true grit in pushing himself so hard up some tough routes and never giving in...on his first day on real rock ever!
Sorry we missed seeing Jerry but I guess we'll catch hi next time. Sujin, thanks for bringing the wild Schnauzer mutts along...Kyung Ah was in love all over again...you are lucky she didn't kidnap them!
