Hi,

I'm a newcomer in Busan and will stay for some months to study korean. Just discovered I will have LOTS of freetime - perfect for climbing! I'm 24 years, female, from Sweden. Climbed pretty much before, but haven't been very active since last summer. But strength will come back and then I climb around 6, 6+ if it's a good day.

Looking for every kind of climbing - but I have no gear as I left them in Sweden. Can you rent shoes here? Where can I buy new ones? The ones at home are very worn anyway..

Please also give me tips of where to find a climbing-gym close by. I live in the PNU-area. Also an ordinary gym would be great!

I you feel like climbing, just talking about climbing or else just be friends with me (I feel pretty lonely for the moment!) - just reply! :)

you're welcome to join me for some weekend bouldering. and if there are enough of us to get a group together maybe some weekday morning bouldering, or route climbing too. there are many gear shops around town that sell shoes. if you look up mountain bank in the busan climbing gyms section of this site they will have an ok selection of 5.10 and mad rock.

welcome! choss monkey and I live here in busan. and I'm korean.

if you want to buy climbing shoes, there is some place you can buy in busan. but if you still can't find the shoes what you're looking for from there, then by internet, you can order exactly what you want. like 5.10, mad rock, la sportiva. Usually, it takes 1 day to arrive at your place.

and if you live around PNU, you can have some choice for gyms which are near from your area.

photos of gym are already posted on KOTR. so you can look at it.

It's little embarrassed to say, I'm unemployed now, so I have huge amount of freetime. so if you need further help for shoes and gym stuffs, I think I can help you.

Heisann!
