Hi Graham,
Am thinking about heading to Ganhyun/Sonunsan/Sokcho for a trip from the 21st to the 24th. Reply if you're interested. I sport climb routes ranging up to mid-5.10s, and am interested in pushing my level higher. Can belay most any level. :) Have all my own sport climbing gear, and a car.

Hi climbergrrl, Thanks for the reply. I can't make that trip, but I'm keen to get on some rock almost any weekend.

Graham & Heidi,
I'm here in Daegu as well. I just arrived ten days ago and i'm very anxious to get out and climb. I have my personal gear, many draws, rope, some passive trad gear and a great desire to climb whenever and wherever i can. let me know if either or both of you are still here and maybe we can climb sometime soon. also, if anyone else happens upon this plse reply and lets get together for climbing [and maybe coffee or something].
peace,
joshua

Joshua, thanks for the reply. I'm keen to meet up sometime and get on some rock, or meet up for a coffee and a chat. Give me an email sometime - mk3graham@hotmail.com or call me at 9398043. I'm usually home in the evenings.

Hi Josh and Graham, (and anyone else out there that's interested!),
Okay, these are my climbing "plans" for the next couple of weeks. (They are flexible, although Seonunsan is pretty much a given, praying that it doesn't rain the whole long weekend!)
8.10/11 - 8.12 : Ganhyeon, if I can find anyone to climb with...
Driving to Seonunsan on the night of the 12th...?
8.13 - 8.15/16 : Seonunsan
8.15/16 - 8.20/21 : I'd really like to climb down south near Busan or anywhere south of Daegu. I've never been down there. I was looking at Am Nam Kong Won - it looks interesting...any recommendations out there from anyone? I'd be interested in going to any crag that was fun, safe and challenging (almost any crag should be pretty challenging for me! :)
8.20/21 - 8.25 - taking a ferry to Fukuoka and learning to surf in Japan, hopefully, and maybe climbing if there is any in the area. Does anyone know about climbing in this area of Japan?
Anyway, would love to meet up with anybody and climb and just have fun. If you want to join me for any part of my "road trip", please let me know! (Or else I may have to discover some good places to boulder in Korea! :)
Ciao!
Heidi

Hi everyone.
I'm an english teacher living in Seoul, and am fresh off the boat...only been here 2 weeks. I'd like to get on some rock as soon as I can, but I have to meet some fellow climbers first. I can sport climb and clean trad up to the low end of 5.10's. Right now I have only the basics that I could bring: shoes, harness, some slings and biners. I can be pretty flexible with where to climb, but I'm living in Seoul and only have the weekends. If anyone is interested...PLEASE let me know.
Hey,
I am pretty happy to hear that I am not alone in Daegu anymore (my two partners just left me!). I am not a great climber, but do have all the sport gear needed, and a car. I will be back in the 'Gu next Sat and haven't been climbing in six weeks so I am dyin' for some climbing. If anyone is keen to hook-up in Daegu, let me know. Hope the new guys are settling in well.
Robb
