I know I've ddeluged you with stuff already, and you've already started on some of the changes (good one by the way!). But how's about A Tech Tips type forum in the Climbing Section where people could post little tips and hints for using gear, setting anchors, etc etc?

That seems like it could all be in 1 thread. I can't imagine that that forum would have much activity... Could be wrong. Let's see what others think.

Actually, I was thinking exactly the same thing as Jake just the other day.

Being a relative newbie to the sport, and after reading about the accident that happened just recently, I realised how much of the basic stuff I've still yet to learn. Any tips or even basic climbing safety that I need to make a regular part of my climbing preparation that I can learn from the more experienced climbers here would be very welcome, and hopefully stop me from learning the hard (and dangerous) way.

I don't know if a forum style would work so well though. Most of the tips would get lost on previous threads. I don't really know what would work, but I was thinking if there could be some sort of master list that people can add to it, it would keep all the tips on the same page. Not sure if this is possible, it was just something I thought would be useful.

I think this is more up to people on the sight to point out to other climbers' when they're not being safe. A thread like that certainly wouldn't hurt, but there's plenty of climbing safety you can google. Like red lights in Korea, a safety measure won't do any good if people don't take it seriously.
