Maisan Closed???

Just heard from skinsk that the signs (http://www.koreaontherocks.com/gallery_full.php?rowOffset=7&type=1&area_name=7) pointing to the trails that head to the climbing wall at maisan are gone.

anyone know if the area is closed or did they just take down the obvious and ugly signs?

Also, a hiker said "no climbing, rockfall" when I showed him my printout from this website, and the woman at the info booth (whose English was better told me there was no climbing there (printout) but pointed out where there was--
she even came back with a brochure to show us. . . watch for Maisan 2 in the Rock Climbing listings!

That's too bad if they closed it.Last time we went (2 months ago) we also noticed that the sign was gone and we were wondering why. We still went climbing and everything was fine but this place hasn't been maintained for a while.
Skinsk I see in the pictures that you climbed by the road (nice pic with the cop!!!) but did you end up climbing past the lake??

they won't close it without putting up signs that say its closed. The bolts aren't maintained nor the anchors, but it's open.I can't give you directions, but the koreans will always give you an answer if you ask them a question. If they don't know the answer the the one you will get won't be the one you wan't to hear.
