Flying into Busan on Friday July 4 and looking for partner to climb. I'm visiting from Europe, so I only have basic gear (no rack or rope). I climb around 5c/6a in lead.
I know some stuff around Masan, but Busan is new to me.
How about a hearty climb and a tasty brew thereafter?
Be great to hear from ya...

I'd love to be a partner for you, BUT I have work July 4 & 5. On Sunday I may be joining you, not sure...,however, I could hook you up with one of my friends if you like.

Thanks for the answer. If you know someone, that would be great. However, I don't have a rope or rack, only basic carabiners and about 6 quickdraws (travelling lightly). So maybe you know someone with this gear? Please send me their contact info.
Sunday I was planning on climbing in Masan (but I am flexible), so if you can find some time it would be great to see you.
One more question: I have a hotel booked in Masan for Sunday night (I'm actually on a business trip), but for Friday & Saturday nights I wanted to find someplace to sleep in Busan. I do not know Busan at all....do you have any tips where to stay in Busan? Something simple like a "backpackers" or a pension, etc. I would appreciate any tips!

Would you give me a call at my cell 011-595-3701 when you get at air port.
You don't need to worry about ropes or gears. My friends do not speak English, so I just introduce you to them and go climbing with heart...
I know many places you might wanna put in, like, hotels, place for backpackers etc. You can let me know what kind of places you are really looking for, maybe price range too.
I'd recomand one of the palces for backpackers located center of Busan.
I'm a train engineer. Usually, I have extra work on weekends if I can be free from work on Sunday I'll let you tomorrow afternoon, and we can go wherever you like.

Hello Dong-il,
Thanks for your help. Things unfortunately fell through as some things happened here in Shanghai. So it looks like I will be arriving Sunday night now in Busan and heading straight for Masan.
However, I would really like to get in touch with you next time a little beforehand to make plans, as I am usually in Busan every 3 months or so. I hope this would be ok with you.
Once again, I appreciate your help and hope to see you some time!
