a huge weekend is coming upon us and i'm wondering where i should go and who else might be in. the weather might be a little iffy considering the season, but there will have to be (i hope) at least one dry corner of this country we can hit up. i'd like to find a spot and plant myself for the long weekend b/c 1. gas is expensive and 2. i want to relax and not worry about getting to another location.
i'm thinking of ulsan, seonunsan, or soraksan due to the variety of routes and camping options. i'm open to others but those are the first to jump out at me. actually, soraksan is the first on that list if i can persuade or bribe a traddy ropegun for Go Rak!
who's interested???
:becky:
Me and Dave are in, and will help with gas.

Keep me posted on details. My old man is gonna be in Korea from 30th June and we were thinking of a trip up to Seoraksan too, we could meet up thewre and have a day of climbing whilst the old man hits the beach or spapia world or something.

looks like the plan is for seonunsan. unfortunately i don't have thursday off and that was a bad rumor...a very bad rumor. i'll still head out as soon as possible on thursday if we all get let go early. because of the timing we may stop at the old grandmother rock before heading to the park to set up camp. i'll be camping but will get a minbak if it starts dumping buckets. lindsey, can you make it to kunsan or should we meet you there?
dalton, shaggy, and the rest of you military folk...are you coming???

I could meet you at the bus terminal in Gunsan if that works! I'd be there around 4:00 at the earliest, so just let me know :)

I'm there! I have a three-day as well. God bless Korean bosses... wait I mean America. In any case, I'm down, and as soon as I finish work I'll make my way to... Seonunsan? Soraksan?

soraksan weather looks like crap too!! i was hoping for a blue bird weekend to hit go-rak but this time i'm bailing on that before i travel 7 hours to get there.
looks like we'll be at seonunsan. dave just suggested opera house as a dry alternative if the weekend weather forecast comes true.
