Awesome to see so many new and old faces-- what a stellar weekend for climbing, catching up and eating (well!). Nice to put some faces to names. . . though so many "new" people, I may have trouble remembering them all!
(Great opportunity to post that new profile picture!!)
Anyway, I look forwards to climbing with all of y'all in the future!
so how many folks turned about? how was the weather? how was dinner? i wish i could have been there... :(

It was great to meet everyone! The Korea climbing community is amazing. Wonju was a great spot to team up and if anyone is interested in climbing again down there (or up there for some of you!) Marissa and I made a pact to meet once a month or so at that spot. Thanks for all of the organization with the food and the BOSTON LAGER!!!!

Hey Eric mate you missed a truly grand M&G sorry to say. But on the flip side there was a chorus of "thank you Eric for starting KOTR" at some stage on Fri or Sat night as I recall and can you believe it, we had 20 plus folks arrive on Friday!!??:eek8: Everything was sweet. The new camp site was a big success I think, and we couldn't have hope for better weather over the full 3 days. If you stayed away because of dubious weather reports..ha! You are a fool say I!
I want to extend a super big round of thanks to everyone who came and just took part in the M&G. Work was shared and done admirably, from setting up, to cooking, to washing up, to cleaning up, to setting top-ropes and safety checking each others tie-ins/ belays etc. That so many could be there and climb so much with zero injuries/ accidents was ample prof of how well KOTRers played/ worked/ drank/ ate together.
Quick notes of extra thanks to several folks who really stepped up with the goodies:
shagymb Mike and his wife Heidi (hope that's right) for bringing in such a massive supply of the foods and such.
skinsk Sonia for all the research and help and photo work you did, as well as all the setting up of camp.
Our servicemen, for all that expensive and delicious alcohol! Really deeply appreciated, ven the next day.
Jessie and Kris, for making all the arrangements with the Ganhyeon staff and helping out with the setting up, cleaning and everything.
Big thumbs up to:
1-Matt for doing his 2nd ever rap in pitch black at 8pm, 60m, free-air style.
2-Dalton for some amazing tenacity and "just do it" attitude on Elida.
3-Brandon, for really pushing through some seriously sore feet and lost glasses to climb so well on Sunday.
4-Corey, so strong! thanks for retrieving our draws and being chill as. Peace!
5-Annie for some great belay work I saw, and lots of humourous chat.
6-Colby not only for some good climbs, but great guitar too.
7-Brian. Those drum beats you cranked out were awesome.
8-Marrissa for picking up all those folk at Wonju and helping out all the newbies.
9-Katz who has a fear of snakes after being bitten by a rattler, saw a snake at Ganhyeon on arrival, and didn't care. Great first outdoor leads!
10-SuJin for flattering my hapless attempts at speaking Korean.
11-Mike (mil-mil) for that gutsy lead up the blank 11 and good graces even after a hold popped off.
12-Everyone else for everything. Sorry if I forgot some of you, some things you did. Kim, Julie, Robert, Tom, Jeff (Geoff?), JungHee, Sonja, Amanda, Adrienne and Rick, Heather and so on. Thanks! Well done. See you again soo.

Ross, for his excellent explanations of things most of the rest of us only half understood, bringing much-needed scientific injection to Sunday's climbing.
Rick for the reading material. . . looks like I'll have some time to get through entire issues (I snagged the health issue. . . anyone have the one with the broken foot article?!)
CJT for bringing me his sleeping bag!
Mike, everyone who brought something Margarita.
Heather for making all the pancakes and rocking out on the guitar.
more, of course
everyone for coming out, but mostly
Eric, the big E, for making it all possible. . . and Karen, for her support of E:)

i was thinking the same thing (Jake only has 2 lousy pictures?!:suspiciou ) some of my pics had problems when my camera broke:( -- I get them as little "thumbnails" with info; they have size, but no dimentions and won't open (can anyone help?!) but I should be able to download the bulk of them (the card went to the shop with my camera, so i just got them all back and have been super busy!). . . but I agree-- I'd love to see more of the photos!
