Relatively a newby, but was wondering what's the background on the kotr logo, specifically the "O." I'm assuming that it was a reference to the SK flag. Was it a conscious decision to change the normally blue bottom part to white?
Getting my badge from Mike made me think about this.
Do you think any Korean people would take offense? Just curious.
Joe
I guess if we wind up having JOTR, it might look too similar to the current KOTR (the former would have an all-red "O".)
hi
that was my attempt at a logo. that's all i could come up with though i have really be wanting a new logo lately. if you have any ideas, I'M ALL EARS! i'd love to get a rockin' logo for KOTR but i just haven't figured out what that would look like.
take care,
eric

I think the logo is fine!
I'm weak in the visual arts area (or anything artistic whatsoever, as a matter of fact). My only concern was for the red/white circle vs. the red/blue circle. If you do decide to revise or replace the logo, my preference would be to incorporate the red/blue: less possibility of having to explain the discrepancy to curious onlookers on the subway, for example.

Hey I hear u, but I haven't had any queries about it yet from Koreans on KOTR, or strangers on the subway etc. It would be awesome for some more KOTR folk to kick in with ideas, conceots and such for a sweet new logo. The Eric and I have been kicking this problem around a whiles now, but can't come up with anything that just seems "right", if you know what I mean.
Someone out there must be artistically gifted or just have a brainwave. Newby or not it doesn't matter.
