View Full Version : Copying DVDs on a MacBook

I have a MacBook and am trying to copy a (homemade) DVD. It seems like two folders, Audio files and Video files (though the audio is empty on the original and the burn folder?). . . I had copied these folders from the original disk to my desktop, then onto the new disk to burn. The result says "disk not supported" when I try to play.
Any advice? what am I doing wrong? help is not much help. . .

it is not unusual for the audio folder to be empty or even missing.
if you want to play the movie from your hard drive, it's best to put those folders into a parent folder and point your DVD software to the parent folder. when i burn DVD's i use the same method you used (burn just the audio_ts and video_ts folders) so suggest another burn method.
-make sure all the files in audio_ts were copied over
-i "copy cd" whenever i can b/c that will duplicate the disc regardless of your settings.
-or you could try the "finalize disc" option.
hope that helps...
