Okay, so there is a niiice long weekend comin' up upon us (February 6-10th) and I am trying to see if people are interested in takin' a boulder trip down towards the southern part of Korea-not sure of the destination yet (open to suggestions). Weather should be pretty nice (nicer than up in Seoul) and hopefully the rock will be amazing, I have high hopes over here! Since it will be a budget trip, could try to stay at really cheap hotels/motels...I have a pad with me, so I can bed anywhere. Well, everyone is welcome to make any suggestions as to location, etc. Take it easy! Peace.

hey there,
due to major lack of funds on my part (I was sick last week and I do not have my medical coverage card=hospital visit was pricey), I guess you can count me out for heading to Pusan however, I am optimistic that we could find some nice spots just outside of Seoul, I will try to find out about any areas tonight. Seems everyone's schedule is poopie-people working saturdays, people working throughout the week, etc. Ryan-at least we can probably get out on the longboards this week-you down for that? I'll ask my friend if we can borrow her board. Peace.

there is a place in Deagu that looks like it has some potential. up on a mountian by some buddist temples and it's only like a 12 USD bus ride to get to deagu
There is some bouldering in the riverbed at Songnisan mountain, a bit closer than Daegu and my friend runs a minbak/ birosanjan in the mountain next to the river. An awesome place to chill out. Rooms are big clean and 40 bucks. She will take very good care of us. I've been meaning to get there again for a very long time. I was there last Lunar and it was sweet because we were the only people there. And the weather wasnt too bad either! Its an hour an a half to Cheongju from Seoul and then another hour and 15mins to Songnisan from there. Let me know if you guys are interested.

Wednesday to Friday? I'm in too....longboard opportunities aorund as well perhaps?
yeah!! Ok here's the deal, I've spoken to my friend and it's all good. Buses run from Seoul (Nambu) to Songnisan directly. The first one is at 1:10 pm and the trip is about 3hours. She will have food for us for the evenings. We should take food for during the day, plus some booze or something. So I was thinking let's leave Wednesday and return on Friday evening. No need for sleeping bags, the rooms are also heated. Wicked.

Yup I am in for that!
Nice! Right kids, we should leave from Dong Seoul because the 1:10 bus from Nambu is allready sold out the next one is only at 4:10 and 7pm. I can get a co-worker to reserve seats for us online. From Dong Seoul the times are: 11:10; 11:50; 12:35; 2:30. Cost: 14 bucks. Please let me know asap and I can reserve the tickets today. Otherwise I'm assuming 12:35 is ok.

hey kids-count me in for tomorrow, let me know where I should meet people and what time. Also, text me or call me if you need western snacks (?) since I live above the good grocery store. Planning on going climbing tonight too if anyone wants to join me at the gym near Oksu (Mr. Son's)-don't worry Ryan, picking up your pad beforehand (as soon as I can leave the school)Take it easy.
Michelle
Mike-what are your plans? I can also climb this weekend because I think you don't have all of this week off, just let me know.
