As I find more I will post them and directions.
From yesterdays adventure:
Seoul Sports climbing centre
소울 스포츠 크라이밍 센태 (or a reasonably similar hangulisation thereof, it's phonetically english just written in Hangul)
How to get there: Take the subway to Joegi-dong(제기) leave via gate 6 and head straight ahead for about 100-150m until you come to the big intersection. At the intersection head left and walk for another 100 or so metres. Look for a big yellow roller door with climber cutouts mounted on the wall above. It's down the stairs to the right of the yellow roller door (keep an eye out for the climber cutouts if the door is up).
Details: it opens at about 5-5:30pm (basically whenever the operator feels like it by the sounds) and shuts about 11 or so.
Costs: casual/month/year 5000/50000/500000.
The place is quite small (bouldering only) and all the people seemed really nice and super strong too.
I've got a few more I am looking for too (it took my almost 3 days to find this one .. what with my being crap at Korean and climbing being obscure enough that nobody knows about it anyway)... stay tuned

hi Colin,
My wife and i are also on the hunt for gyms in seoul. We found the one you're talking about a couple of weeks ago. Like you, i've spent countless hours the past few weeks trying to locate new gyms and been largely unsuccessful. I did find one called SEOUL CLIMBING CLUB near Jamsil (or Chamsil) Green Subway line #2 (its the stop at lotte world). To get there go out of the subway by EXIT #1. Walk about 10 meters or so to the bus stop and get on ANY of the GREEN buses. Get off on the SECOND stop. Another 5-10 meters in front of the bus stop on the right side of the road will be an alley. Turn right and the gym is in the basement of the second or third building on the left side of the alley. You should see several signs. It really isn't as complicated to find as i've made it sound. It's about double or triple the size of the Seoul Sports Climbing Center, bouldering only.
Price 65,000W a month. (i think thats to join their club)

The owners don't speak very much english.
My Wife and i will be going out again this Saturday to hunt some more. She speaks Korean so if you or anyone else have any sketchy directions or know of a gym in a certain area we might be able to track it down. We're looking for someplace with an indoor wall.
Hope this helps.

hey eric I put the souel climbing centre in, but I have missed out the opening times (kinda important given it is a night only gym) and my typing is crap (a few typo's) how do I edit the entry ?
aaron: I've sent you a PM re:this but I have the numbers and basic areas of two other gyms around Dongdaemun-gu area, one is called ART CLIMBING CENTRE (not sure of the korean spelling, it's in Jogno, off Jogno 5-ga) and one is ROCK PARTY somewhere in Dongdaemun :-)

Hi everyone,
My wife and i had a successful gym hunt yesterday and have two new gyms to post as well as two more on the way. You can check the directions and descriptions on the GYMS page. Both are in the SUYU area. I should have some more info on a gym in Uijeongbu and the Nanna wall within the next week or so. Hope these help and enjoy! If anyone has any problems feel free to message me.
aaron

Here's another gym for everyone. I didn't post it on the gyms page because i don't feel like i have enough info. If anyone goes to this gym let me know or put it up on the gym page.
Hard Rock Climbing Cafe
web: www.sportclimbing.net
ph: 993-0012
HRS: ? (it was closed on a saturday so i assume that means it's a MON-FRI gym)
AREA: Right next to Duksong Women's University
DIR: Get off the Subway at SUYU station (line 4) and leave via exit 6. There is a bus stop on the curb, get on GREEN bus #1218. Ride 6 stops (maybe 5 or 7 stops. i rode it coming back so the number might be off one.) and get off at the DUKSONG WOMEN'S UNIVERSITY stop. on the opposite side of the road you will see a Burger King and Baskin Robbins. The gym is on the right side of Baskin Robbins in the building with the Blue/white sign that says LADY SPACE(i think it is the next door on the right of baskin robbins). There is no sign on the outside for the gym. The door is on the first floor.
i wasn't able to get ahold of anyone when i called so i don't know that hours.
Good Luck, and let us know if anyone checks it out.
