Hey all,

thanks to the slightly warming weather and the fact that i can access this site again I'd like to annonce that there will be a few of us out climbing at Munsusan (yup 87 bolted face routes) most saturdays this spring. This is in the great city of Ulsan, known for fantastic views and 3 eyed fish.

If anyone is interested in climbing in the south, gimme a call, we'll help you get to the crag.

I live in kyoung ju.
I would like to spend a few satursays over there.

Perhapes you could let me know how to get to Munsusan, by public transport, be it bus or Taxi.
I would be coming in from the express bus terminal.

i go by public transport reularily, and its a touch hard to expalin but here goes from the train station:

take bus #'s 401. 1114, 1104, or 1401(401 is the cheepest) heading away from the train station (ask at the info desk where to catch it from). From the bus terminal, walk out to the Lotte dept. store, cross the street and take the bus that goes from the lotte hotel/Ulsan broadcasting/Hanvit Bank area.

You are going the right way if you pass: 1) Industrial Monument Rotary then 2) The Sinbok rotary. On the bus

I usually get off at the Univeristy of Ulsan. It is a long ride.... It is easier to catch a cab from this location. Otherwise you can take the bus right to the end of the line and hike the rest of the way up. It is about a 40 minute hike.

i am planning to head out this saurday. Will probably take the train out or bus from haeundae. My self and partner will be at the far end of the cliff band, upper section, near the easy 5.7s working out the winter kinks.

Thank you very much.

It would be very nice there this weekend. I would love to go, but I have a promise to go boulding at the beach.
There is a big international bouldering festival in seoul next weekend, which I will attend.

So the first weekend in April would be an excelent time for me to head over your way.

I might bring a few friends along too.

Thank again for the info.

Take care.
