oh. . .boys and their toys. . . now you're starting a ****ing match:p !?

nice stuff, but still has the tags on it. . . looks untouched. . . virginal. . .

some may disagree, but i say it ain't the size of the rack, but what you do with it. . . and i find those scratches, scrapes, gouges and scars sexy!

I'm back from LA with my bags filled mostly with climbing equipment old and new (and a 3' long stick of salami). After unpacking, I was inspired to take a picture and update my profile. I guess in terms of neatness, the layout is somewhere between those of Jeremie and Sonia.

I remember when I first arrived I searched far and wide for basic used climbing gear, and finally bit the bullet and went to Dongdaemoon to buy it new. It sure feels good to have gear not only for yourself, but also for anyone else you want to drag along. BTW, I think I have one or two extra harnesses size L, if anyone wants to make an offer.

Also, I brought the following books:

John Long's "Climbing Anchors" and "How to Climb"
Craig Luebben's "Rock Climbing: Mastering Basic Skills"
Duane Raleigh's "Knots and Ropes for Climbers"
Fletcher and Rawlins, "The Complete Walker IV"
Kolon Mountaineering School, "즐거운 암릉길": This one lists full beta for 50 top ridge (i.e. trad) routes in Korea. My mouth is watering just thinking of the possibilities. If you want me to find a route in your area or level, and translate some excerpts (within reason), let me know.

I've come to believe that climbing is one of the few activities in which your ability can be improved by reading books about it. Plus, they are good refreshers for safety. If anyone wants to borrow one of these books, just let me know and I'll bring it next time we meet to climb.
