I found the information for this bookstore back in the spring. But since then, haven't visited and had forgotten where I found the info. I searched on KOTR, but couldn't find anything. If it was posted here, I can't find it, mind you, I didn't look too hard. If this information is repeated, sorry.

Anyway, on a ride home, I found it again. For those interested:

Hansung University Station (Samseongyo) [Line 4, two stops North on Dongdemoon Station] Exit 7.

Once out Exit 7, walk straight. Turn left at the first little road leading to an alley. Walk straight to the intersection. Straight ahead will be a large staircase leading up the road above. The bookstore is on the left just before the staircase in a basement building. The door is right at the bottom of the staircase. The windows are sometimes boarded up with cardboard, but look over the top of them and you can see the material.

Last I checked, information on climbing, mountaineering, snowboarding, surfing, mags and other things.

The website posted on the door www.outdoorbooks.co.kr
Enjoy

Hey there! Thanks for posting the update/ re-take on where this bookstaore is. It's a good one to have posted regularly, as English books of any kind, let alone climbing-orientated, are hard to find in Korea.

agreed, and
on the subject of books, as shanja reminded me this weekend, I need to put in an order to Sharp End (http://www.sharpendbooks.com/) pretty soon. If anyone is interested in the 2008 Women of Climbing Calendar or any pther book they publish, I can get discounted copies for you-- free shipping if I can get an APO! (I can get some discount, but not as much, for books they distribute but don't publish). Anyway, head to that thread (http://www.koreaontherocks.com/forums/t1074-2008-women-of-climbing-calendar.html)if you want to order!
