Well, I got a pleasant surprise in the office today. A copy of the sold-out June issue of Bergsport (http://www.koreaontherocks.com/photoplog/index.php?n=730), the Sweedish climbing magazine. Göran did an article-- a pretty substancial article-- on our Chuseok road trip last year. Other KOTRers pictured and written up the article are Mary and Steve, with mentions of Craig and Heather (and maybe one of them in an orange jacket way ahead on Ulsanbawi??). Of course, the only good photos are of Göran, and it's all in giberish, so no telling what he wrote about us:p . (Like "Jag klättrade med Sonia och Mary, inga som jag kände speciellt bra!" . . . :confused8 )

It says, "I climbed with Sonia and Mary, who I didn't know very well" : )

oh, good. . . i thought it was about our "bras". . .:p who I didn't know very wellhmm. . . I mean, we did all stay in the jjimjilbang:eek8: and he met Mary's mom! ;)

so, can you translate the whole thing?! it's only about 4 pages (small print but large photos!)

Sure, I can translate it for you! Hehe, don't worry, "bra" means "good" in Norwegian. Maybe he meant he didn't know you very well before the Chuseok trip??

Lindsey floored us all (those of us at Maisan!) with her translation of the Sweedish magazine!! Apparently her Norwegian skills translate near-perfectly!

Damn, girl, what are you doing here with all those blond-adonis god-like Sweedish guys in Thailand!! I mean, it doesn't pay as well, but the weather is warm, the water nice and well, the Sweedish guys are a-waitin' for ya! All sea clliffs and Thai curry!!

:o Hmmm.... maybe I will have to go to Thailand someday ;) I'm considering going to grad school in Norway in a couple of years...

Mmm Thai curry. As much as I like Korean food, I do miss that dimension of fragrance that Thai food has.

There are some pretty good Thai restaurants in Seoul. They even have Singha beer.
