Has anyone heard of this computer internet web place called "the facebook"?

There's already a KOTR (http://www.koreaontherocks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=856&highlight=facebook) group, though not much activity there-- (I guess 'cause we're all on KOTR) and some members on facebook I don't recognize from KOTR:confused8 . Still, since I signed up for facebook, several old friends have been in touch, and I use it alot to keep in touch with folks who've left Korea (and don't go on KOTR much). . .

It's really good for finding and communicating with old friends. You can also post tons of photo albums really easily.

what is the name of the group?

The KOTR group is "Korea on the Rocks gets social."
I agree with Jess - the picture function is pretty great. It is easy to upload, tag, comment, and click through.
(Ricky, the Mokpo group is pretty active, and they use the group as a way to let people know about parties and Ultimate and stuff that is going on locally.)

Oh!!!! So that's why I'm such a loser.....okay! no more nights spent at home alone picking calluses off my hands and feet

. . . picking calluses off my hands and feet
that's what the sandpaper at the gym is for!! but wow, at least you have calluses!:D

If I'm a measure by which to judge, it does nothing to mitigate loserishness. I was just throwing that out there.

I checked it out. I'm a member now. Yay!
I say I'm a loser because I don't really know many people in Mokpo anymore, and I'm never invited to parties. Sniff, sniff. And it's my own damn fault for alienating myself from the foreign crowd in order to climb.

Ricky, if you can head to that dinner tomorrow, I promise I'll sit next to you, callouses and all. Besides, I have a couple questions re: Mokpo Climbing Club.

That was a dinner on Thursday, posted in the Mokpo, South Korea facebook group. I think someone also sent out invites to everyone who was in the group sometime early last week. The group seems to be pretty actively posting parties, dinners, hikes, and ultimate frisbee stuff right now.
