Ok gals, it's time we get this women's weekend cooking. Here's what Amanda and I are proposing:

Saturday climb session at either the mountain crag or the wall, followed by a night of dancing, followed either by a second day of climbing or a relaxing day at the beach. I'll be headed down on Friday night. Hopefully get an early-ish start on Saturday (maybe 11?).

(Men, we won't be needing any rope guns because Amanda ONSIGHTED a 10c in Thailand....so she's more than capable of throwing up anything we'll need. Thanks for the concern, however.)

So bring your harness, shoes, rope and draws (if you have 'em), some cute clothes, and a bikini--it's bound to be a fantastic time!! Hope to see you there!

There's room at my house for 3 girls, and Adreinne can probably host a few as well. So pack your bags, kiss your men good bye for the weekend and get on down to Busan!

Can't wait to see ya'll on the crag and in your dancing shoes!

This is going to be awesome!!! Provided the weather gives us a break.
I don't have a bikini, but I guess I can buy one, or I can wear my bra and panites! :o

Congrats Amanda on the lead!!
Just this past weekend I tried to lead a 10a (one that I've done a few times before) but I freaked out on the wall and started crying (a little) and then quit. I feel very angry with myself - I'm so scared of falling!! How can I get over this fear?
Sincerely,

Before you start the route, promise yourself that you will either (1) finish the route or (2) fall trying. Then take a deep breath, be honest with yourself and go. If you fall, you'll be SO proud of yourself for seeing it through and not taking. If you take, you will be upset and beat yourself up until you finally take a fall.

It's really not that bad, and can actually be kind of fun. Also, it's really rewarding to finally redpoint a route that you have taken some falls on.

So take a deep breath and just go. :)

I find a good cheering section always helps.:)

This sounds fun!!

I'm new here (this is my first post!), but I'd love to join if you'll have me :)

I'm in Mokpo, so I think I could get to Busan either late Friday night (~1am) or around noon Saturday. I'll have to check the bus schedules.

FW-- first of all. . . put that experience behind you. . . that is over, next time is a fresh start and I KNOW you can do it! I have seen you lead. TR first. . . downclimb, work the moves on a nemesis climb. Have a belayer you are 100% confident with. Don't forget to breathe! Buy a bikini for god's sake!

I can't say I'm sorry to miss the WW as I am enjoying Europe. . . I will be there in spirit cheering you on, though!!

Not using my bikini enough here in Europe. . .(well, at least the top half:eek: )

I think the thing I have enjoyed most about these last 2.5 years in Korea is watching so many people, especially so many new people, especially so many new women people, really get into climbing and challange themselves. It's fun to see how climbing (and Korea) has changed us all, and it's great to be in the cheering section:cheer2: (or even belayer!, or picture-taker) as y'all lead for the first time, or a higher grade etc!! I've even enjoyed some of your falls:tape2:

So have fun-- someone go up high and tie in and take some great shots of Jenn leading in her bikini--or bra-- hey, it'll sell books!!!:p

see y'all soon. . .:plane:

Hey Ladies,
My name is Shannon and I am working in Mokpo. I am interstead in getting into the climbing community in Korea. I am not an experinced climber, I have only every done it indoors and that was awhile ago, but I super keen on getting into the sport. I am wondering if you have any ideas of ways I can into the sport and experince doing it. I am also wondering if this trip your talking about would be a bit over my head.
Thanks
Shannon
