A great gym close to the subway with lots of friendly people. Cost is 60,000W per month or 150,000W for 3 months. There's also lots of weekend trips for many kinds of climbing. There's heaps of talent in this gym.

Line number 4 (light blue line). Get off at Beomgye station and take exit 6 or 7. Walk through the small park to the large bus stop on a busy street. Head North (left) up the street to a pedestrian overpass (about 5 minutes). While crossing the overpass you will be able to see into the gym, which is on the 5th floor of a 5 floor building on your left.
From Suwon you can also take bus #301 and get off at the pedestrian overpass (two stops before Beomgye station). The Gym is also on routes 1-2,300,900,500,305,306,310,501,900-2.

pretty funny. . . the gym's home page has a section (in Korean) with the English heading: Korea on the Rocks

This climbing gym is great. The owner, Jong-heon, is well known in the climbing community with some FA's in the 5.13 range, and he's a fantastic guy. There's also a bunch of english speaking people who come in the evenings. Super friendly atmosphere. There are routes for beginners available and also routes for people who want serious training. Just like the description says, there's heaps of talent here. There isn't a day to day cost, but the owner is pretty willing to let you try a day for free.

True there isn't a day cost, but want to climb here for longer? Yes? Then you've got to commit to a 3-month membership. Forget about a single day, there is not even a one-month option. Put down 180,000, or you don't climb here. As the owner explained to me, "One gym in Korea." The post is years old now, so for whatever relevance it still has, I don't agree about there being "heaps of talent" at the gym. There are strong climbers here, but it is about average for a Korean gym. No one here climbs 5.13+. I found the owner not particularly friendly (but not rude either). Several other climbers here are friendly for sure. Among gyms in the Anyang area, the average English speaking level here is maybe the highest, in case that matters to you. Lastly, most the routes are very long (40+ moves) and practically no one trains here by bouldering, but if you like to boulder and have enough experience to create a decent problem, go for it. Others will probably join in.

I trained here for the past six months and will continue seasonally, PM for questions.

-Wonderful members. The warmest reception I've experienced in Korea.
-Top level climbers across disciplines who are willing to share and educate.
-3mo/180,000 Won is an absolute steal. I would easily pay twice that amount.
-Mr. Kim is a UIAA International Route Setter for the Ice Climbing World Cup, a talented climber of high prestige, and extremely modest.
-Mr. Kim manages the Anyang Stadium wall.
-Gym extended to include a dry tooling specific room where ~10 athletes train annually (incl. many other nationalities).
-Season appropriate weekend trips (trad, ice, sport).
-If you have the drive, you will become top level here.

Not sure what all of the fuss is about here. Checked it out yesterday. Crappy (and dirty) holds on uninspiring walls. The 3-month price, while comparatively cheap on a month-to-month basis, is not worth it. I suggest going down the street to what was formally CruxZone.
