**Experts Only!!** Old granite quarry has been converted to a serious sport climbing area. At least 20 routes in a horseshoe shaped quarry. Generally easier routes on the far left and gets harder as you move right. I saw one 5.10, two 5.11s and the remaining routes were 5.12 up to 5.14 (yes, really). All sports routes but some potential for trad lines on the left hand wall.
Off Hwy 39 outside of Asan. Near Yeonginsan Natural Park. Parking is limited. Walk around the green fence, up the abandoned road and the trail leads to the quarry.
All fixed gear was brand new. Plenty of evidence of rock fall, though not certain if it was natural or from quarry days.
Gear to Bring
Plenty of fixed gear but each route needs 8-10 draws. All have chain anchors at the top. Several stick clips were available to use for high first bolts.
Faces north but it's a horseshoe shaped crag so the wall catches sun at different times of the day other than the directly north facing wall. The base area has a lot of standing water so I'm sure it's full of bugs in the summer months. Primitive tents sites exist there. Bring your own food and water.
