Description
A welcome addition for Iksan climbers, Iksan's new All-weather Rock Climbing Gym (익산 전천후 인공암벽장) is a behemoth. The 3-story square building boasts 3 walls of climbing inside, with varying degrees of overhangs/difficulty. It's open Tuesday-Saturday 2PM-10PM; closed Sun-Mon. On the outside are side-by-side speed-climbing walls (Official "International Federation of Sport Climbing World Record" certified). The inside wall is 3 stories (about 12 meters?) and draws are in place for lead climbing.

It's W2000 a day to climb there, with discounts for seniors, (ROK?) military, students. . .

There weren't many people around when I was there, but they were friendly (no English). Rental equipment may be available, but I forgot to ask.

There are showers, lockers, bathrooms and hot and cold filtered water on the premises. Food and drink are close, but the premises can be pretty deserted later, so it's a 15 minute walk or so.

Directions
It's just behind Iksan Municipal Stadium, off road 720 (무왕로) in far northwest Iksan. Keep left around the stadium-- the building is signed in Korean, but it's impossible to miss the (east-facing) outdoor speed climbing routes prominently facing the parking lot.

I noticed busses 60, 60-2, and 102 passed; probably others do as well.

This gym is great, except that they don't have any gear for rent - including ropes. I brought all my other gear but didn't think I needed to bring my rope. There is a rather large bouldering area that is on a simple vertical wall, and there is also an overhung wall on the 2nd level.
