I've only been there once so far but it's a pretty nice little climbing gym. It is just one small bouldering room, maybe 10 feet high. The cost to climb was 5,000 won and I think they said 50,000 won for a monthly pass for those of you who go more than 10 times a month... I had my own shoes/chalk and did not to think to ask if they did rental or not. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful.

Monday-Friday: 5pm to 11pm
Saturday-Sunday: Closed

I will attach a map when I can. If you live in Uijeongbu, you can hop into a cab and say "Byeo Ruk Si Jang" (Byaw - Ruke - She - Jahng). The will take you to a building that has a golf shop on the first floor. You enter the building on the left hand side and go down the stairs to your immediate left. From there you can't miss it.

I just went to Club Shamony today. The overhear map was a little confusing to me and I'm a very good map reader. The golf store is now a Columbia store. If you get in the vicinity Look for the big light blue Columbia sign and downstairs you'll find Club Shamony.

The gym is relatively small, but I'm a beginner so it should do me just fine. There ware a few levels of difficulty that I saw that may cater to a more experienced climber.

The club does not have rental shoes. You have to bring, at a minimum, shoes and chalk to climb.

I didn't get the impression they had a pay per visit system either. They only spoke of registration and the 60,000₩ monthly fee.

I happened to luck up and go on a day where a member present was a good English speaker. If he wasn't there . . . it would've been exponentially more challenging. He did say there were other foreign patrons.

All skill levels were present and watching the gym's best climber and coach was . . . WOW. Those two were VERY talented.

Forgot about this tidbit. Club Shamony is only open M-F from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. On the weekends they coordinate climbs for the group members at a local mountain. No information on whether or not you need to be a member to climb on the weekends.

I wonder if this place is still open, I went and it was closed. I hope he didn't close for the winter?

I went there last night and it is in fact open. It is a small gym but like said before everyone there is very nice. They have their holds color and number coded for traverse routes. I found one spinner, everything else was solid. I'll be a frequent costumer... also, I have him 10,000 won and didn't see change, maybe the prices went up?
